supporting growth while delivering the infrastructure and amenities our community expects.

Commercial Site Breaks Ground
- Construction has officially begun on the community’s commercial site—an exciting milestone that brings services and amenities closer to home.
Dog Park Now Under Construction
- Construction is underway on the new dog park creating a dedicated space for residents and their furry companions. Anticipated opening in 2026.
River Heights Reservoir Now Operational
- Commissioned on schedule in March 2026, the River Heights Reservoir is now fully operational – bringing critical water capacity and fire protection to south Cochrane. Delivered in partnership between the Town and Qualico, this major investment supports Southbow Landing and future development in the area.
Pond D Pathways & Landscaping This Year
- With approvals secured in January 2025, landscaping and pathway construction at the western pond (visible from Hwy 22) will be completed this year.
James Walker Trail Progress Update
- Qualico’s portion of James Walkter Trail is now complete, with full connection anticipated in fall 2026. For questions, residents are encouraged to reach out to the Town at capitalprojects.eng@cochrane.ca.
South Pathway Expansion
- The connection from Phase 1B to the east side of Phase 4 will be completed this year to better connect spaces that enhance how residents move through the community.
Phase 99 Starting This Spring
- Grading begins this spring near The Willows, with landscaping to follow in late 2026 or spring 2027. As development progresses, builders will move through the Town’s standard permitting process, including Development Permits (DPs) and Building Permits (BPs), along with required public notifications – ensuring transparency and opportunities for community awareness along the way.
Summit Construction Underway Soon
- Grading will begin as weather allows, with full construction ramping up this summer. More details to come.
